In 2015, the United Nations adopted the “Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).” The initiative calls on humanity to create a world where the Earth can remain sustainable forever and where people can live happily together. Since then, governments, companies, local communities, and organizations across the globe have been pursuing their own efforts to achieve these goals.
However, the author feels a deep sense of discomfort with the declaration itself. Should we truly accept and celebrate this grand vision without question?
